My Profile

Typing one handed while nursing an infant is a secret talent! My name is Cheri. I am taking different classes here at Saddleback just for the experience of learning stuff. I graduated Cosmetology school in 2004 and do hair for friends and family. Something about me? I am divorced and raising a daughter by myself and am trying to make the best life for us as I can with what I’ve got. I have a lot of interests and the list is ever expanding! My goal is to learn the true story about things. I don’t have any bias except for justice and fairness. Those two things will always slant my views. M.L.K. Jr. said “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” And I believe this is true.
The great information hunt is my life story. I use the internet to locate materials, it’s great to find e-books and preview them before I order them.
I have used libraries before, but I prefer the old buying books and highlighting them to death.
I haven’t written a research paper for class, but I do write a lot of blogs answering peoples questions about things I’ve been asked.
What I like about research is that 99% (I pulled that number out of thin air) of the time the information is out there if you know where to look for it. Problem is and what I dislike about research is that I’m the only one who does it on a normal/regular basis.
Solving problems and getting the right answers is what my friends use me for. I get calls all hours of the day with medical, legal and personal questions.
I’d like to learn more efficient ways to research, greater access to the information stockpiles and would like the recognition that comes with actually having taken a formal class to research stuff.
My favorite website? I like www.wikipedia.com because all the sources are cited and you can dive deeper by actually viewing them. There’s been little I’ve actually found that is totally off base with the wiki since the right fighters usually catch it when someone edits something just to be jerky. That usually happens with controversial topics.
